"Charlie" - Adult Male Hermanns (Grimsby) - Looking for a caring home
Posted: 11/12/2009 by TPGDarren

We have been asked to find a new home for an adult male Hermanns tortoise; named Charlie.
If you would like to offer Charlie a new home, please contact the Rehoming Team at rehoming@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk  with the email subject line “Charlie”, Male Hermanns, Grimsby'. If you haven’t already completed a Rehoming Application Form, it can be downloaded here:-

http://www.tortoise-protection-group.org.uk/site/131.asp

You will need to download it into your documents, complete it and attach it to your email. If you experience any problems, please let us know, and if you have already completed an application, please let us know when you apply. Please note: There is no fee charged for re-homing but we hope that if you are successful in your application, you will consider a donation to help towards the TPG's work. Please be assured that any donation no matter how small will be spent working towards making a lasting difference to tortoises. Not all tortoises that we have rehomed in the past have required veterinary treatment, however occasionally this has occurred; therefore as a non profitable group we rely on your generosity to help our cause.
Many thanks
Darren

Hello Charlene

This tortoise is fully grown now, so wont really get any bigger - an average sort of size for a hermanns is around 1.5 - 2kg in weight, the males do tend to be a little smaller.

All the information you need on care, accommodation, diet etc is on the site.  If you click on The Tortoise in the menu, then care sheets, and you will find a care sheet written especially for hermanns, there are also articles on enclosures, and a lot of photos in the gallery section.

all the best

I would love to rehome Charlie! I applied as soon as the advert was emailed out and filled in an application form to adopt several weeks ago. I'm also in Grimsby! But only until the 5th of January. I then go back to Whitstable, Kent where I live. I hope to hear from you soon! Emily
