Beak length

On the subject of beaks, when is a beak too long.  We have a hermann - nearly 5 years old, and his beak looks a bit long.  He has cuttle fish, is fed from a slate and eats pretty well, but it protudes below his lower jaw.  Should I get it trimmed by a vet?

Hi,

If it appears to be causing discomfort or affecting feeding, I would be inclined to take him along to the vets for a trim.
