I have 4 year old male and female Herman tortoise and the male has lost a quarter of his bodyweight and his shell has started curling under at the back. He was eating normally up until a week ago. We got them last year and although they had been hibernated before we were advised not to. Would his weight loss be due to not eating and getting ready to hibernate or should we take him to the vet.
