Drainage holes

Please ensure that all drainage holes in outdoor setups are running freely. We have had so much rain and flash floods this really does need checking out. Many new keepers with hatchlings also use the rabbit style cages for outdoors: these have NO preset drainage holes in them and could hold water up to a dangerous level.

That's a really good point Elaine. It might also be worth noting that free roaming tortoises, that have burrowed into their usual hidey-holes, will also be at risk during a flash flood as they can easily become submersed in water.

I checked my wee hut and its keeping the rain out so far, so my chaps are tucked up in the dry.

One did venture out in heavy rain when it was 9 C.  After she had eaten some dandies she decided to hunker down under a hebe, but I put her back in the hut.
