Food for Redfoots
Posted: 13/06/2008 by Laraine

I have 3 hatchling Redfoots, December 07, just read the care sheet, and was wondering if these would be suitable as a source of animal protein in their diet? as a few pellets a week/fortnight/month?
I use these for 2 of my dogs, no added chemical or anything nasty. They are a small biscuit that I soak for the dogs in warm water, absorbs the water fully and gets nice and soft.

Hi Laraine

I should think they are OK as reconsituted dog meal can be used as a source of protein.  I don't keep redfoots so am not sure of the frequency.

Re-constituted, good quality cat biscuits seem very popular amongst Red keepers too, and are recommend by the TT, fed once a week.
