Hi could anyone please tell me how long a combined heat lamp should last. I brought a heat lamp last April and it lasted till may this year, I replaced that one at the end of May and the new one stopped working yesterday?? They were £48 and recommended by the pet shop. Can anyone suggest a better lamp please. They were Exo Terra lamps 160 watts

That seems a very short time for them to last, especially the one you brought in May, I would take it back and say you want it replaced as it was faulty. I use Solar Glo and I have a megaray which has a very high rating, you can buy them from the link below

I had the same problem with mine the first one lasted ages but after that they lasted a few months at the most! I now use a uv strip and a normal 40 watt bulb for heat
