Reliable info for Red Footed Tortoise
Posted: 23/12/2010 by ScotLar8@yahoo.com

Hi,

After much deliberation, I have chosen to get a Red Footed Tortoise.  Simply for the size, doesn't hibernate, and it was 1 of the first tortoise's I seen in the wild.  However after reading up on care and housing for them on the internet, I have read some conflicting information.  Can you please direct me towards correct and reliable information for the care, etc. for this type of tortoise?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Have you got your Red Foot yet?  As you say they are a more complex tort to keep and we dont recommend them for the beginner.  We have a care sheet listed under "the tortoise" on the left menu, for ease here is a link to it http://www.tortoise-protection-group.org.uk/site/125.asp

Please let us see some photos when you can
