Does anyone know if torts lay eggs at this time of year?

One of my females is behaving out of character and she and my male have been seen to mate. I thought that they were starting to slow down with the weather changing but am a little confused now as to what is going to happen. Will she not settle until she has laid if she is gravid as I know she cant hibernate if she is. I didnt expect this, this late in the year. Just goes to show it is a continuous learning curve.
