sorry dont no why the last post hasnt shown up
but anyway i put my 2 horsefields out side today when i went to check on them i noticed they were getting it on they are about 4 years old we didnt no the sex so thats sorted that one anyway but is this to young for them to be at it????????????

Hi Jack,

Best to let nature take its course. They show signs of the mating ritual from a very young age. The only thing to ensure is that a female doesn't become too stressed from unwanted attentions.

can you tell me at what age do they start breeding ??????

Hi Jack, breeding is usually governed by size and age, anytime after 6-7years, some bigger but younger torts have also been known to breed.

It could take even longer as the pair have to be compatible, some people have torts for years and years and they never breed!
