Here's a pic (I hope) of Ralph at last in his new home - made home and very happy with it too, lots more room to race around now.Click and drag me down to the editor

That looks great.

1 thing i would watch is that Ralph can not climb up onto his

little hide log in the corner because he may try and climb out.

its hard to see from the picture how much higher the walls are by the hide.

Wow you have worked hard!

I would also agree with Deb, torts are brilliant climbers!!! Click and drag me down to the editor You might need another plank or two of wood on the sides!  (been there myself lol)Click and drag me down to the editor

Hello Viv, you and nutsmum were absolutely right, I've had to remove most of Ralph's "high places" as he's done little else but climb them and throw himself off, usually landing on his back, it's been very traumatic (for me not Ralph) having to see if he'd get over this stage of excitement about having new things in his table.  I've put another layer of boards above his hide which seems to have done the trick, I've left that in because it's where he goes to bed, but the others have come out except for the large tunnel which he doesn't seem able to climb.  Spiderman has NOTHING on Ralph, I wouldn't have believed it possible that he could climb so well.  Thanks for the warning.  Ralph's spending alot of time outside now when weather allows, but I daren't leave him for long even though he's in a fenced run, I don't trust him not to find a way of escape.

Lol, I guessed he would, I learnt from experience too!!!  I had to put some wood horizontally in the end to form a lip overhanging so that if they did climb they couldnt get over the wood.

Glad to hear he is outside getting some rays when he can!!
