new enclosure help

hi all
as i have told you all before i have two horsefields they are 2yo but when the nice weather comes along i am going to build a big enclosure out side i have the space but need alittle help 1.are they ok to go out at this age ????? 2.when the weather becomes nice would they be ok to live outside at night ??????? as it can still get cold at night in the summer ? alot of advice would be a big help to me as its all new to me cheers tpg

Hi Jack,

Horsfields are hardy little tortoises who can take both hot and cold temperatures, however they do not do well in a damp environment and therefore i would not leave them out overnight especially being so young also. It is fine to leave them out in the day as long as they can go under cover if they need to, you will need to cover the enclosure with a mesh type cover too as they will need protection from birds etc.
