heating for greenhouse
Posted: 11/02/2010 by janice

Hello, I was wondering what sort of heating people had for their torts which are in greenhouses at the moment with it being really cold. I was wanting to put my horsefields back out in their greenhouse as they will have more room.

 Thanks, Janice

Hi Janice,

I use a 600 watt background heater which is very economic to run but in this extreme cold i have also added an oil filled radiator to boost the heat in there and it does seem to do the trick.

Thanks for your reply Ali. I am using a large oil filled radiator at the moment to get it upto temperature in preparation for them going back into the greenhouse.  They are really getting ready for more room since they have all woken up from hibernation. Best wishes, Janice.
