Hermanns Found
Posted: 18/08/2008 by tpgAli

The TPG have an adult Hermanns tortoise that was found wandering down a road in Lingfield Surrey on 2/8/2008. This is over two weeks ago and we are still no nearer to finding the owner.

PLEASE be extra vigilante  if you live in Lingfield, Edenbridge, East Grinstead and Dormansland or any other area in this vicinity and look out for any notices in veterinary clinics, pet shops and newsagents etc or if you see any notices on lamp posts.

We really need to get this tortoises back to its owner.

Just to update you all on the adult Hermanns that was handed into us on
2/8/08.  Despite reporting it to the RSPCA, local vets, all the tortoise
forums and John Hayward (who runs the lost/found register of tortoises
throughout the whole country) this tortoise has still not been claimed;
therefore we have placed it in a temporary foster home near to where
it was found, on the condition it is returned to the owners if they
come forward.

Please can I just jog your memories regarding this tortoise.  It was
found in Lingfield Surrey but it is possible that it could come from
East Grinstead, Dormansland, Edenbridge and other surrounding areas.
If you see any notices in any of these areas please inform us at contactus@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk

Haywards Heath: 8 year old Hermans Tortiose escaped from our (what we thought) secure garden. We are desperate to find him, any info would be great.
