New website on plants for tortoises
Posted: 02/12/2009 by Nina

The Tortoise Table is a new website devoted to plants for Chelonia. Please visit it and discover information on what plants are safe to feed your tortoise/turtle and which are not: http://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk

Our 'traffic light' system of colour coding should enable you to judge quickly if a plant is suitable, but if you want more information, each plant entry has a feeding tips section and images as well. We hope you find the site informative and easy to use. And we are adding to it every day, so we hope you'll visit it and return.

Thanks very much for your lovely comments.  You are right it has taken a lot of hard work to get this far with the site, but it is something we are really enjoying doing and if it's helpful to all our friends in the tortoise community then we feel that the hard work has been worth it.  There will be a lot more additions too over the coming months which we hope people will also like.

Click and drag me down to the editor What a brilliant site, well done to all involved.  This is an area that causes tortoise owners so much concern. What I think is wonderful about TPG is that they provide tortoise owners with easy to understand information and relevant info to keep the torts healthy and happy, and us!!
Thank you so much. The swop shop is a wonderful idea, and the chance to chat about the enclosures is great. The site itself is clear, easy to navigate and follow, and very very informative. I wish we had this 2 years ago when I first got Keya, how much easier weed picking would have been!

Hi Jane

Thank you so much for your kind comments re the TTT site (not the TPG lol).  We have all worked very hard on this over the last few months and its so pleasing to know that the TTT are providing something that is helpful to tortoise keepers.  Hope you and Keya are well.

Hi Jane,

Why Thank You Click and drag me down to the editor

Though we at the TPG can't take any credit as it's an independent site. Still an excellent resource though:-)

Hope you're well

Hi guys

Molly and myself have survived (So far) the transaction of hibernation into  the fridge phew, I am sure that this is not the end of our adventures but I can only but hope. You all deserve praise as you give so much to the tortoise world...
