I want to feed my Tortoise the very best I can, now what is best? I got weeds, lots of weeds in the garden lol, but if low on weeds, which I doubt lol what else can be given. I know lettuce and greens are no good, what else is there that I can buy? I got Strawberries growing on my borders are the leaves ok to feed?

Hi, there are some foods in the shops that can be fed when there are not enough weeds or garden plants.  Here are a few that are edible for tortoises.  I think it best to use them to add to weeds when those are in short supply.

Raddiccio, Rocket, Romaine Lettuce, watercress, frisee lettuce, lamb's lettuce.

What I personally do is to use these at times when foods in the garden are scarce.  They are not ideal but they are not harmful.

I also feed grated carrot very occasionally but some keepers say this is not suitable. My tortoises love the raddiccio and this does have nutrients in it.

Yes thats exactly what I do, I search for weeds as they do still grow but slowly this time of year, and then mix them with salad leaves as Ozric mentioned.  Just make sure you wash them, as even tho it says ready to use or washed, its usually in an antibacterial to stop them decaying faster!!
