hi can anyone help if i buy and use a mega 120 w lamp ballastad is that the only lamp heating i need. i am getting either a horsefield or herman can anyone advise recommend a hating and lighting unit that is suitable. i would like to get equipment that is suitable from a store not over the internet can anyone help and point me in correct directions thanks alot hoping to get lights today

This is a combined UVB & heat lamp and is all you will require. I'd suggest you drop Darren a line from Kimbos Reptiles, they are the main distributor of Megaray in the UK and may well be able to advise you of someone local?

Hi there.  I don't know if there are many shops that stock the MegaRay lamps.  If you are worried about after sales service it might help you to know that Kimbos reptiles does have a good name for that although they are internet business.  Occasionally a problem does crop up with a megaray (which I'm sure it does with any lamp) and as far as I know people always get a replacement as long as the lamp isn't simply used up of course!

I have a couple of those self balasted 120W MegaRay lamps in use and I personally think they are very good.  Kimbos is the UK dealer for them as well as retailing so you might pay more in a shop.  Jonathan   (PS I don't work for them!)
