Mature Male TGG - Guildford
Posted: 10/10/2009 by tpgarlene

Hello

The Tortoise Protection Group have been asked to find a new home for Brian, a mature male North African graeca graeca.  He has been with his present owner for around 35 years, and we are told that he has always been healthy.  Sadly, due to a change in life curcumstances, his owner can no longer care for him, she would like, if possible for Brian to go where he will have some company (after a suitable period of quarantine)  Hi photos is attached, he looks a fair old age, and a bit battered Click and drag me down to the editor

If  you would like to offer Brian a new home, please contact the Rehoming Team at rehoming@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk  with the email subject line 'Brian - Guildford TGG '. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY THROUGH THIS FORUM. The rehoming application form can be found in the Rehoming Section of this website:-

http://www.tortoise-protection-group.org.uk/site/131.asp

you will need to download it into your documents, complete it and attach it to your email. If you experience any problems, please let us know, and if you have already completed an application, please let us know when you apply. Please note: There is no fee charged for re-homing but we hope that if you are successful in your application, you will consider a donation to help towards the TPG's work. Please be assured that any donation no matter how small will be spent working towards making a lasting difference to tortoises. Not all tortoises that we have rehomed in the past have required veterinary treatment, however occasionally this has occurred; therefore as a non profitable group we rely on your generosity to help our cause.

Many thanks

I too have a mature TGG; who i have been looking for a companion for, for the past few years.  I have had him for the past 9 years.  I would be pleased to re-home him for you; he looks very similar to my own.  I have sent my forms off to tpg today.  Can you please let me know if he has been wormed recently, or has any outstanding health problems. This would not be a problem to me as long as i can have him treated before integration with my own tortoise, within the quaranteen period.  I have both indoor and out-door enclosures so can cater for all ages and sizes. (hybernation requirements)

Please feel free to e-mail me.

Hi - A big thank you to everyone who offered this old gentleman a home.  His owner has now rehomed him to someone locally, where she can visit him regularly,

all the best
