Hi ????, WELCOME to the group and thanks for posting. Have a good think about this. In theory this sounds ideal, you hopefully will get fertile eggs from one visit. In practice what you will have achieved will be stressing your girl out as she will be bombarded with the males soul attention, introduce the potential risk of illness into your healthy girl. If you are looking to breed with her you need to first work out if she is a Testuduo Graeca Graeca OR a Testuduo Graeca Ibera, there is a BIG difference as far as breeding is concearned. You should have a certificate from where you got her, look on there and you should also see country of origin, this is another important piece of information when thinking about breeding. Do you have room to add more torts (after a period of quarintine) to your girl? If you are not sure about her breed post us a picture and we will see if we can help. Any other questions please ask away.

Hi Elaine, Thanks for your reply....I will see if I can dig out the DEFRA paperwork she came with, but was pretty sure she was a Testudo Gracia......but now you have made me think........Understand what you mean about stressing her with a rampant male....but I had hoped to have a boy visit for a couple of days, if  I could find a local boy. Annabel has an inside tortoise table and an outside digging area. However, I do take on board your advice, and welcome all the input.

Your very welcome, just make sure you know of the background of ANY tortoise coming into Annabels area. Can I ask what age she is? Just had this hatch, so I can understand fully your desire to breed her. Enjoy

Awwwwww your little hatchling as adorable. Annabel was just half the length of my little finger when I had her. She was hatched Oct 2001. I've found the DEFRA paperwork and it just says TESTUDO GRACEA MEDITTERANIAN SPUR THIGH.

I have been spoilt 3 times so far Helen. One more in there. I really do feel as if it is such a privilage to watch these tiny creatures come into the world, especially as the sun is shinning! Glad you liked the picture.
