Hi Everyone! I'm a newbie on this forum! But not to tortoises. I keep two baby horsfields that I hatched from eggs from my Mum's tortoises!

I am hoping for a friend for my horsfield. I wondered how your two are getting on together? It seems that Horsfields are not overly friendly with each other?

My two seem to get on fine. They have the odd tussle over food but I just make sure its well spread out over their table. They're as yet too little to sex. I'm hoping they're both females as I won't have to seperate them once the hormones start raging hopefully. If your horsfield is a male you'd definitely need at least a couple of females or more to keep him company. If you have a female than another female would be best. If like me you don't know it does no harm to get a horsfield of the same age/size and see how things pan out.
