Early winter preparation.
Posted: 05/07/2009 by dandelionz

Last year i hibernated Sammy in our spare fridge as the temperature in our garage was reaching dangerously cold temperatures even inside a polystyrene box. The problem was, over the festive season the temp in the fridge was up and down as it was being used for drinks too and i worried all the way through Sammys hibernation. This week i have won a "table top fridge" on ebay for £31!!! Compared to the new cost of £100 i think ive got myself a bargain. I am just monitoring the temp settings and in the meantime, we'll be using it for the BBQ season!

Sounds like you got yourself a bargain with the new fridge. It is a common problem with temperatures when using the fridge method and the more you pack into the fridge the less it will fluctuate.
A few more months and we will all be thinking about getting ready for winding down our torts....
