hi there,

i have what i believed to be 2 hermanns, 1 male and 1 female, i am certain of one as he constantly tries to mate with my female, but today my "female"was on the males back, is this normal mating behaviour or have i got 2 males? PS they dont fight or anything.

Hi,
Firstly you need to be sure of the species you have. Sexing depends on the age/size of the tortoises. I have females that are always mounting the males but in your case it wouldnt be good if you had 2 males so if you could possibly upload some pics for us to see, photos of the top of the shell and the tail end would be good?
