I have read that hosta is safe for torts to eat and wondered if all varieties are safe, i have just got a hosta great expectations its a lovely golden and green colour is this ok to go in pebbles outdoor table?

Hi Nik

Hostas are safe food for tortoises but not all tortoises like them.  Mine will only eat the very young shoots if that helps.

I've found the hostas are not that popular with mine either.  My young ones will have a few bites, but they will have a bite of anything!  My juveniles won't eat it.
