Hi Everyone,

I've just joined this great website this week & I've had some fantastic help & advise on my 50 year old female Tortoise- Speedy.

I've inherited Speedy just a couple of years ago & I've not had any problems with her health until a few days ago. I was really lucky to stumble onto this website & I've had some great advice after putting a post on the Forum entitled "White Poo" which I'm sure is self-explanatory!

I've never had a Tortoise before & the only encounter I have had with one, was when my husband & I had a holiday in the Seychelles about 15 years ago, where we met two very old Giant Tortoises called, Esmeralda & Dartaniel. They were fascinating & the size of a VW Beetle Car.

But, I think that we would all live to be 200 if we could live on those Islands like they do, just wandering down to the waters edge & feeding off the vegetation with not a care in the world... what a fantastic life they have.

hello and welcome, im glad you found this site interesting, i agree it is very good and the advise is brilliant, im sure you will find the answers to all your tort questions here as there are people here that know practically everything you need to know about tortrs and if they dont they will always point you in the direction of somebody who does,

eveybody is made very welcome and no question is left unanswered, im still new to the tortoise keeping stuff but im sure had i not found the help via these sites my baby tort would have had a miserable existance due to pet shop advice being rather poor
