I need to get squirt micro chipped as I think he is at or over the pastrol *sP length, I asked at my local vets and they didnt really have a clue!

Do they put it in the leg? does it hurt them as they would have to hold his leg out? how much should it cost? any recomendations of vets in the west midlands? as I dont want to take him to a vets that doesnt have a clue!

Hiya,

You only need to get him microchipped if you intend to sell him. I'd be inclined to leave it until as late as possible, the larger the tortoise, the less chance there is of problems.
