Cheap Outdoor Enclosures
Posted: 11/04/2009 by minniechops

Incase anyone is interested, I got a bargain temporary outdoor enclosure for my torts from Argos, yes Argos. Its actually supposed to be a wooden sandpit for children and a steal at only £25.00. Its easy to assemble, movable and has two extra wooden bits for the top, supposed to be for sitting on but I have used them to hold the netting down.

I know my horsefield torts will dig out of it given the chance buts they are only out when I am out so I can keep an eye on them.

Why didn't I think of putting a link to Argos!? So dizzy at times. The above link is the very same one I was talking about. My two have been in it for 4 hours now. Have just brought them in and they have gone straight to bed exhausted. I have put extra bits in mine too like flower pots and stones.

Hi Zoe,

These are a great buy arnt they, Ive had one for a few years, and now have it set up as a permanent outdoor enclosure for my youngsters - Ive hopefully managed to add a couple of pictures below.  I have a mesh lid which goes over the top to keep birds (and footballs!) out.  The sedum didnt last very long as you can see..... :)
