Hello everyone, i've just signed up, I have a 10 year old Russian Horsefield called Tilly I will upload my pics when I realise how!!!

I keep horsfields too great tortoises and I also have 1 called Tilly.

If you have any difficulty uploading your pictures please let me know and I'll help out.  You can either load them up to the members gallery or attach them to your  messages by clicking the upuload/view images button at the top of the editing screen where you type your message.  The important thing to remember that the images have to be small ones and that if there is an apostophe or an & in the title of your photo it won't upload.

I've had Tilly for about 6 years, Tilly was my brother's tortoise, my brother bought her from a 'Pet Shop'  he bought her with a viv some fake grass stuff and a log and he was told tilly was a Salcuta and to feed her cucumber, egg shells, tomatoes and lettuce, he reckons he's got papers lol and apparently she would grow to be very big.(My brother stupidly still believes this i'm just so glad Tilly is mine!!!! Tilly has spent most of her life in a viv (i feel so bad, if only i had known the dangers of them). Tilly is now in a open top tortoise table that my other half built last year, with the correct heat, light, substate etc. Tilly has never been hibernated either!! I was too scared to do it this year as I wouldn't have a clue and someone advised me to sort out the housing and diet before hand, with a bit of help I will be brave enough to do it!!!! I'm getting there with the weeds growing my own and got quite a few in the garden etc.

I've just looked at your photos too, and I think Tilly is lovely! I can't believe how good her shell looks, considering she had a rocky start in life. She is so lucky to have found you. When it comes time for hibernation later this year, you'll get lots of help from us, so don't worry.

Awww thanks she is a gorgeous little tort, i know i can't beleive her shell myself, oh yeah i'm so worried about hibernating too so all the advice will be brill.
