Hermann/Shropshire
Posted: 13/01/2009 by TPGJo

We have been approached to find a 'forever' home for a 5yr old female hermann in the Shropshire area.  We only have the word of the current owner that 'she' is female, but hopefully a few pictures will id the sex for certain. Her current owners have moved house and no longer have a garden, hence the need to rehome her.

If you would like to offer this tortoise a new home, please contact us at rehoming@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk with the email subject line 'Hermann/Shropshire'.  The rehoming application form can be found in the Rehoming Section of this website, you will need to download it into your documents, complete it and attach it to your email.  Any problems, please let us know, and if you have already completed an application, please let us know when you apply.  Photos are available, and we hope to have them on the website shortly.

Please note: There is no fee charged for re-homing but we hope that
if you are successful in your application, you will consider a
donation to help towards the TPG's work. Please be assured that any
donation no matter how small will be spent working towards making a
lasting difference to tortoises. Not all tortoises that we have
rehomed in the past have required veterinary treatment, however
occasionally this has occured, therefore as a non profitable group we
rely on your generosity to help our cause.

Hi Jo, I would love to re-home this tortoise, but I can't get to shropshire.

Can you think of any suggestions , or will it be homed with someone closer to the area.

Hope to hear back.

We can confirm that this tortoise is female, we will assume all applications are still interested and can now proceed.

Hopefully the successful applicant will be informed this weekend.

Many thanks,

Jo

A huge thank you to all those members who applied for this tortoise.  We were inundated with applications and we were very impressed with all of them!

We have informed the successful applicant, it was a very hard decision, and hopefully collection will take place very soon.

We realise how popular this species is, hence the amount of applicants, and if you weren't successful, please don't let put you off applying in the future.

Best wishes

Jo
