We thought our members might like to see a summary of the TPG's activities in 2008, and so we have posted a review of the year on this website, in the section called The TPG, in the left-hand column, and the file is called Year Review.

We worked really hard this year to launch the website, get our rehoming service off the ground, collect thousands more signatures for the petition, make valuable contacts with members of Parliament, give educational talks about tortoises to various groups, and lots more. We couldn't have done this without the support of our members, and we would like to thank all of you for your continuing support, advice, and good will.

Any commments on our work in 2008 and suggestions for goals for 2009 will be most welcome!

This is just to say that after uploading the file containing our
Review of the Year, we realised that we forgot to mention the TPG's
involvement in a court case brought by one of our members against a
pet shop for selling inappropriate equipment. I have now added an
item about that case to the Review of the Year (under the section called The TPG, in the left-hand column).
