URGENT Horsfield/Middlesex
Posted: 04/01/2009 by TPGJo

We have had an URGENT request to rehome a male horsfield, approx 6 years old.  He has previously had a good life, living outside with a heated cold-frame and eating a prodominantly weed diet with no apparent health problems.  Sadly the owners felt they could not care for him any longer and he is living with a foster mum.  The temporary home also has a leopard tortoise and they have been allowed to mix, although this practice has had to stop as the russian isn't keen on the leopard at all.

If you would like to offer this tortoise a new home, please contact us at rehoming@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk with the email subject line 'Horsfield/Middlesex'.  The rehoming application form can be found in the Rehoming Section of this website, you will need to download it into your documents, complete it and attach it to your email.  Any problems, please let us know, and if you have already completed an application, please let us know when you apply.

Please note: There is no fee charged for re-homing but we hope that
if you are successful in your application, you will consider a
donation to help towards the TPG's work. Please be assured that any
donation no matter how small will be spent working towards making a
lasting difference to tortoises. Not all tortoises that we have
rehomed in the past have required veterinary treatment, however
occasionally this has occured, therefore as a non profitable group we
rely on your generosity to help our cause.

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for the reminder <g>

Actually, this tortoise is still with his current owner, despite it being marked as 'urgent' to me, the owner has ceased to correspond with us.  Unfortunately the TPG rehomer was snowed in on the day of collection, which the current owner was slightly miffed about!!

Oh well, I don't suppose every case has a happy ending Click and drag me down to the editor

Should the current owner get back in touch with us, we will naturally be happy to help.

Sorry for the delay in posting this, I was hanging on in the hope that lines of communication would re-open.

Thank you for your interest Lisa, please keep an eye open for more rehoming, as sadly they are becoming more frequent.

Best wishes

Jo
