Growth rate marginated tortoise

Hi
I have a 2 year old marginated tortoise who seems to be having a growth spurt, especially in recent months. He currently weighs 422 grams and measures 13.5 cms. His shell is beautiful, so can I be reassured that all is well.Is there a guide for this breed that could show me what his weight gain should be.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello, 

I'm not aware of a guide. How exactly are you keeping it? 

For how long has it hibernated in the past 2 winters ?

Hi Tom

Sid is being kept outdoors - has a cold frame to assist as and when. He hasn't hibernated yet but following your advice previously on another topic he will this winter - October time for 3 months. Have read all the info on this site so hopefully all should go well.
