Hibernation worries
Posted: 03/01/2017 by lillian5819

Hi,  we have a  Hermann s tortoise approximately 10 years old (we are 2nd careful owners) Tilly has never hibernated before, so she has thrown me into turmoil and decided to, very late this year. I first thought she was having a strop over choice of food so was carrying on with lights, heat lamp,  food, bath, which she adores. Now am concerned where and what to do. She is awake as still have a sneaky peek. Please can you help?  Thanks Lynn Allen

Hello Lynn,

Click on "The Tortoise /.." box for quality advice on Hibernation.

You have given no details about how it is kept, & I would need this info' in detail in order to give you some immediate advice in addition to your reading the above. Photos of your setup would also help.

Regards,
Tom
