Which Sex?

Hi, I'm thinking of getting a tortoise. Are there any pros/cons to either sex? At what age are they able to be sexed and how is this done?

Hello,

If you have just one then there's very little difference.

There is a slight chance that a single female will lay eggs, but this is rare.

They can't be 'sexed' until 4 or 5 years of age, unless grown on far too quickly.
