Tortoise table

We are buying a redwood tortoise table

What is the best way to line it or paint it before adding topsoil

Hello,

Buy one made of pine [etc.,] - which will not need to be painted.

Place it outside for some days to 'weather'.

It's summer & most torts., incl. hatchlings should be outside daily.
