I am considering buying two Horsefield tortoises from a lady who can't keep them any more.  They are 6 years old and have lived indoors on a table.  Would they adapt to outdoor life easily if I had the right set up for them?

How long has the woman had them ?

What type of lighting has been used & how often has it been renewed ?

They should adapt to being outside in summer but it would need to be staged carefully. That is if they are healthy. Be careful - you could end up with trouble, vets are not cheap. Best not to pay for them.
