Juvenile Ibera and Graeca for rehoming
Posted: 10/12/2008 by tpgarlene

We have been asked to rehome two juvenile tortoises, one ibera, probably male, and one graeca, sex undetermined, located in Telford.  They are currently living together, but will be rehomed separately - they have been housed in a viv, and have some pyramidding, and could also do with their nails trimming, but apart from that there dont appear to be any health issues, and the owner tells us they are lively with good appetites.  The Ibera is approx 610g, and the graeca is around 300g - exact age is unknown, but probably between 5 and 10 yrs old.

This is a difficult decision for the owner, and it is very important to her that these tortoises go to really good homes where they will be well loved and looked after.  It would be nice if (after a suitable period of quarantine) they could have some company.

If you would like to offer these tortoises a new home, please contact us at rehoming@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk with the email subject line 'Rehoming Telford' and either Ibera or Graeca .  The rehoming application form can be found in the Rehoming Section of this website, you will need to download it into your documents, complete it and attach it to your email.  Any problems, please let us know, and if you have already completed an application, please let us know when you apply.  Photos are available, and we hope to have them on the website shortly.

Many thanks

Please note: There is no fee charged for re-homing but we hope that
if you are successful in your application, you will consider a
donation to help towards the TPG's work. Please be assured that any
donation no matter how small will be spent working towards making a
lasting difference to tortoises. Not all tortoises that we have
rehomed in the past have required veterinary treatment, however
occasionally this has occured, therefore as a non profitable group we
rely on your generosity to help our cause.
