Tortoise table advice

Afternoon forum.

 

Would it be OK to put a tortoise table in a shed with a heat lamp for our two Hermanns (when we get them) for the winter?

 

Dont want a vivarium so is the above an option?

Hello Stevek23,

You would need to insulate the shed & provide a min. background temp of about 14C first.

A 100W Megaray bulb with a dome reflector (at an angle of 90deg.) would be needed over the 'table'.
