hi there iv bought a microclimate ahs heating system for my horse field tortoise table should this be kept on at all times im new to keeping a tortoise he is a 6 year old male named alfie he was my mums who has just passed away suddenly so i only no what im researching online and vets advise who advised me too buy this heater and he also told me to keep it at 95f heat but he never said if im to keep it on at all times thankyou any help is very much appreciated

I'm sorry to hear of the circumstances.

Horsfields are hardy & don't need constant heat, so on for 10hrs - off for 14.
95F is too hot - 85-90F at the basking spot is better.

I'm not familiar with the system you have. 
Click on "The Tortoise/ Incl Care Sheets" & study the info..

Look at the "Photo Gallery" as well & plan an outdoor enclosure. I'm sure you know that they tunnel, so some thought is needed, also avoid damp conditions.
