I would like to re-home a tortoise from the website but just want some general advice regarding houses before I buy one. We have a log cabin shed in which to put it's house whilst it hibernates but need to know what else would need to be acquired before we would be considered. We have a large grassy garden which is flat with no pond and have no dogs. Thanks Jo | |

Hello, Tortoises cannot be hibernated in wooden structures. Temperatures are unstable & can fluctuate from too low to too high. It would be possible to construct a microclimate within the shed, but to satisfy both heating & cooling needs, it would not be cheap. Regards, Tom | |
