Male &female companions

Hello I'm ready to re home a tortoise and I've seen a pair on your website who are 4 years old, have lived together and apparently get on well but one is male and one female.  Is it inevitable that they will breed in later life? This may sound ridiculous but I don't want to be left with tortoise babies in 10 years time!

It is not inevitable, but 1 male should not be kept with 1 female from about 4yrs old.
