Hi there. Can anyone help me with the species of my gorgeous Tiddles. Thanks in advance.

Testudo ibera.

It's carapace is quite deformed. 

Click on "The Tortoise…." box to download a Caresheet. This will advise you about a more suitable diet, supplements, UVB lighting, etc..

Hibernation & a large outdoor enclosure (15sqm min.) can be considered.

Thanks Tom. Why do you this he is deformed? 


He is approx 5 years old. We have re homed him.

That's ok Emm,


He is bumpy & should be smooth, but it could be far worse. It's caused  by poor diet & poss. lack of uvb light before you had him.

With your improved diet & lighting, his new growth will be far smoother.
