rHi all

thank you for letting me join your group.

please can anyone help. We lost our tortoise 'Speedy' about 2 months ago and after what we thought was a good search came to the conclusion that he might of been stolen.

To our dismay we found him at the back of the shed, so he hasn't eaten for those 2 months please can you tell me what I need to do to get him fit.and will he be able to hibernate this winter due to his weight loss

URGENTLY need your expert advise

Thank You

When did you find him & is he eating ?

Do you keep weight records, if so can you provide details please ?

Do you know which species he is ?

In the absence of a reply - given what has happened, it would be unwise to hibernate him.

You will need to set up a large indoor enclosure, with a UVB bulb, so that he continues to eat in winter. Keep weight records to check he is gaining weight.

Providing that he is feeding on nice days, he will be ok outside for a few weeks.

It's good that you found him in the end!!

Any other ?s - just post again.

Best wishes,
