We have had our Mediterranean Tortoise for in excess of 30 years and a dog or two during most of that time. The dogs urine is killing the grass, and we are thinking of replacing it with a form of artificial grass. The question is - does anyone have any experience of tortoises on any form of artificial grass? I do not think that she would be tempted to try and eat the plastic grass, but just thought I would ask the question here, I shall also be asking the Reptile Specialist that we have previously used. Hello, Dogs & tortoises should not be kept together, for several good reasons. Regards, Tom

I have astro turf as a lawn area for general use and it is perfect for the dog. I also have a small amount of astro turf in our outdoor tort enclosure and they haven't tried to eat it. I find it works really well
