Hello,

I suggest that you get the builders to insulate your shed to a very high standard.
There is plenty of good advice about heating & lighting in box 3 on the left.

Some people attach a greenhouse or cold frame to the shed, with direct access, as well as access directly to their outside enclosure.

Something you design yourselves will, I suspect, give you more satisfaction in the long term.

You don't state their age, but adult & sub-adult marginata need an outside enclosure of at least 15 sq metres.

Regards,
Tom

Hiya :D I am nearly finished insulated a bike storage shed for my tortoises. We used celotex (the thickest I could buy) to insulate. It's very easy to cut into shape. We then used hardboard to cover the celotex. I then used PVA glue to cover the base and walls so that I could keep it relatively clean and waterproof. A friend made a tortoise hatch to let the tortoises in and out, but also works as a door to lock them in at night. I painted the outside to keep it as leakproof as possible.

We are now at the stage where I have bought expanding foam stuff to make sure there are no gaps...then I ought to be ready to go!
