introducing a new spur-thighed tortoise
Posted: 02/07/2013 by vic71

I have had a female spur-thighed tortoise for over 30 years. She is healthy, hibernates and visits the vet yearly for a check up. I would like to introduce another tortoise of the same species. Is it ok to have another female? We don't want the worry of them breeding. I'd be grateful for any advice. Thanks

Hello Vic,
There is no easy answer. There are many species of Spur-thighed torts. It's important to establish which one you have. Can you post a few pics, from different angles please ?
Regards
Tom
