Vets in Dumfries and Galloway?
Posted: 18/05/2013 by DavidWYork

Hi there. Having answered questions here for ages, today I post one, asking for help. I am soon to be moving to Dumfries and Galloway region of Scotland. Can anyone please recommend a vet so that I will be ahead of the game should I need one for my mature tortoises? Any help would be great, but please do not post on here about vets you would not use, for fear of litigation! If you click on a username you can contact a member personally if preferred. Good luck everyone with glorious season and...sunshine?
I hope someone out there knows of a good exotics vet!

Regards, David nr York (soon to be Galloway)

Hi, I personally do not have a tortoise yet but I live in dumfries and have done a little research into this myself for when I do get one. the bard vet group have two surgeries, one in dumfries itself and one about 14 miles from here in dalbeattie. This is,an agricultural area you're moving to, but I highly recommend this establishment for your tort. I spoke to the vet myself when getting my chooks seen to and they are vet knowledgeable and have a couple of vets who are specialist in the exotic pet. Just look up bard vet group, dumfries and check the website for details. Hope this helps you. Welcome to d and g.....the greatest area in the uk :)

Best wishes
