Brilliant site. We are looking for tortoise and have found some excellent information here. The breeders list is a great idea. One of the breeders suggested that we join and adopt. We had never thought of this before but it makes good sense. She also gave us great advice about the herpes virus i.e. where not to buy and how it is necessary to be so cautious now. We hope to visit her and her family of torties soon. We would be grateful if anyone who has any information on tortoise looking for a good ana permanent home. Keep up the great work.Thanks.

Adoption is a really good idea but there are more people wanting to re-home tortoises than there are tortoises requiring homes.  If you are keen to adopt vie the TPG you will need to fill out a re-homing application questionnaire if you haven't already done so Email rehoming@tortoise-protection-group.org.uk
