STOLEN Tortoise
Posted: 16/11/2012 by Dawnjane

Steven has been with me for 27 years and lastweek I found his hibernation box empty. We are devastated. If anyone hears of a tortoise from the Wollaston, Northants, area being offered for sale or just having acquired a ew (around 40 year old) tortoise please let me know.

That's dreadful, where was he hibernating? Do you have pics to let teh theft co-ordination officer have. I don't know his number but it's on the BCG website if you look them up. Many stolen tortoises are returned if it is widely publicised. If you involve the local newspapers etc, whatever you do, don't let them mention value, as this just makes it more likely for scum (bad people) to go out tortoise hunting.

Goiod luck with finding him,

Sue
