Fridge Hibernation Temp

I have a 3 year old Hermans 170grams 8.5cm - seems to be on the heavy side for the size he is so thought it would be a good idea to do his first hibernation this year. I have opted for the fridge method, however it seems to be struggling to get down below 7 or 8C.

Can anyone confirm that its ok to hibernate him at this temperature?

many thanks

Are you running it empty? It might get to the correct temps if you add a few bottles of water or boxes filled with substrate, shreddeed paper etc. You might get away with those temps for a hermanns so long as you have wound him down properly first.

Take care
