Missing tortoise

My lovely Hermanns went missing on Wednesday 25th July from his garden. We are at Staple Fitzpaine near Taunton, Somerset. He is approximately five inches long with slightly raised scutes. Desperately need to be reunited with him. Any information please call 01460 234626. Thankyou.

Really sorry to hear the news and sorry we're a bit behind. We would recommend you contact any local vets and also John Hayward from the National Theft Register for Zoological wildlife Investigations who runs a register of all such cases. His contact details are:

He's home !!  I came home from work early and spotted him at the edge of the road outside my neighbour's house. So lucky. I am overjoyed ! Thanks for your help.

Great news Ruth!

Have you just got him back...or was this some time ago? I'm guessing is was when it was warmer. Either way, this is a happy ending. Have you sussed out how he escaped and fixed the escape route? There will be many envious owners hoping for the same outcome. Phew!
