Hi I've been planning on getting a Tortoise for a while now (I had one as a kid and loved him). Now I'm older and wiser, I was planning on buying one from a pet shop but decided to hold back and do some research first. I'm very glad I did as the pet shop said I needed a vivarium,heat mat,tortoise pellets and other such nonsense, having read the advice on here I'm planning on going to breeder and building my own home for him/her. I've even decided on names George or Hattie.
Sorry for rambling on my first post but I'm quite excited about getting one he or she will only get the best and will be loved for ever.

Well done for doing your research this will help you and your new tort off to a good start. By going to a reputable Uk Breeder, you will not only get a healthy tort but will receive lots of after care service too, with the right advice.
